Max, My sympathy goes out to you and your family. What great careers you have both have had! After law school I was an estate and gift tax attorney for the IRS for 30 years and then went into private practice for 23 years, retiring last year. Married an RN, and, had three daughters, the oldest is an attorney with an LLM in taxation from Case-Western. We have four grandchildren. Wow, how the years pass!! Now the world passes to younger generations and there are some very good people in them. Chuck Collet

I will truly miss Lynn. I first met her when I was on the Cary Camp Board for CubScouts, then years later our paths crossed again in Purdue’s AC3 and then Freedom Singers. We shared a love of children, singing, plants, and life itself. Lynn your spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone you touched, you were a bright star, God speed.

I had the pleasurer of getting to know and working with Lynn over an 18 period ending the past December as a member of the Catholic Dioceses of Lafayette Finance Committee. She was an excellent communicator with valuable input at each meeting. Our family keeps the repose of the soul of Lynn and her family in our prayers.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I loved Mrs Layden, our old den mom! How she put up with us I just can’t imagine. Her care and patience with a pack of kids, not just her own, and her mutually loyal friendship with my parents left a mark on my life. The Laydens were an indelible presence in my life growing up. A beautiful, sweet person. Rest In Peace, Mrs Layden.

I am so very sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. I knew Lynn for at least 2 decades from her service with the Master Gardeners. Every year I would contact them and was always so grateful that they would come and plant the lion's-share of my annual flowerbeds in Columbian Park, the City Golf Course and the planters on the Myers Pedestrian Bridge. I always enjoyed the fellowship of chatting with Lynn while we planted hundreds of flats of flowers. She and Max took care of my parents estate when they both passed back in 1980 & 1984. Lynn was a truly wonderful and interesting woman. Prayers and hugs to your family.

I so much admired Lynn. She was swimming buddies with my parents Bill and Angie Berberian and a fellow Master Gardener. She contributed so much to her community and will be greatly missed. I feel lucky to have known her.
