Lu Alice Huston

March 1, 1933 - June 4, 2023

Lu Alice Huston, 90, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at IU Health Arnett Hospital.  She was born March 1, 1933, in Buck Creek, IN, to the late Clarence Smith and Gladys (Myers) Rohler.

Lu Alice graduated from Dayton High School and on October 19, 1952, she married Benjamin E. Huston in Dayton, and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2014.  Lu Alice worked as a home health aide and seamstress.  She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Dayton, IN.

Lu Alice enjoyed shopping and visiting friends and family.

Surviving are her children Lyle Kurt Huston of Battle Ground, Rebecca D. (Brian) Sprague of Winchester, VA, grandchildren Megan Allen, Zack Sprague, Bailey Sprague, Jason Huston, Candace Huston, Kelly Ortez and 9 great grandchildren.  Also surviving is her brother Larry (Louise) Smith of Virginia.  A celebration of life will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 20th at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Dayton, IN.
