Our sweet Logan David Straley of 19 years passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his home in Lafayette.

He was born July 9th, 2002 in Orange Park, FL, before moving to Lafayette where he graduated from McCutcheon High School in 2021.

Logan was an incredibly hard worker and absolutely loved his job at Heartland working as an assembly line technician. He was a member of Crestview Community Church (C3) and served as a volunteer on a mission trip to Bayou La Batre, Alabama. He enjoyed singing and dancing, playing Xbox, fast cars, martial arts, and spending time with friends and family. Logan was known for his big heart, energy, and loving personality. His energy and love for others never went unnoticed. His main goal was to stick up for the ones he loved and protect them at all costs.

Surviving are his mother, Kimberly (James Hafstrom) Straley, his father, Joseph (Katie) Straley, brother, Zachary Straley, and sister, Lauren Straley all of Lafayette, grandparents Terry (Glenda) Faith of Jeffersonville and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by grandparents James Larry Batton and Patricia Ann Lewis.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Crestview Church, 1400 Ortman Lane, Lafayette, IN 47909. The funeral service to celebrate Logan’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2022 also at Crestview Church with Pastor Thomas Redmond officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette.
