J. Lloyd Veldhuizen took up residence in heaven on February 9, 2012, at the age of 85. He was born on September 22, 1926, in Hebron, IL. He served his country in the Navy during World War II and married Helen Marie Walters on June 7, 1947. As an ordained minister, Lloyd and Helen ministered to their community for over 25 years. His wife survives with their five children, Wanita Lindquist (husband: Leland), Paul Veldhuizen (wife: Kay), Virginia Robinson (husband: Jack), David Veldhuizen (wife: Cheryl) and Penny Carey (husband: Leon), 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, February 13, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W. West Lafayette, IN 47906. Viewing will be held from 10:30 till the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
