Linda M. Feldt (Nana), 73, of Lafayette, went to the loving arms of the Lord on January 17, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born October 23, 1947 in Gary to the late Robert and Marjorie (Gray) Humphrey. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. On May 6, 1967, she married her life-long love Edwin L. Feldt in Lafayette. Linda loved taking care of her family and was a proud homemaker. She also worked part-time as a Bank Teller at INB and Lafayette Bank and Trust.

Linda enjoyed walking and hiking, laying and walking on the beach, and riding motorcycles with Ed. Ed and Linda enjoyed riding with the Goldwing Road Riders Chapter K where Linda was fondly referred to as “The Little General”. Linda was also a member of the Chapter K ladies “Hoosier Honey’s” tricycle performance group. She loved making meals for her family and was well known for her pies, noodles, and her famous spaghetti, “Nana’s favorite Spaghetti.” Above all she loved to spoil her grandchildren and spend time with her family. Linda enjoyed the summer months where she spent much of her time next to the family pool with all of her grandkids.

Along with her husband Ed, she is survived by her 2 daughters, Jennifer (James) Ausban of Lafayette and Stephanie (Jeff) Berryman of Lafayette; 15 grandchildren, Jacob (Kayla), Isaak, Kiyah, Jed (Mandalyn), Lydia, Tori, Ellie, Job, Laela, Kaelana, Anayah, Tyler, Justin (Lisa), Baylee, and Bekah; 6 great-grandchildren, Alaythia, Amos, Asher, Alayna, Esther, and Isla; and a brother, Robert Humphrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marjorie Humphrey and a great-grandson, Aaron.

Public Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

A private family service will be held.

Current Covid-19 precautions will be observed along with social distancing and current government attendance guidelines. Masks are required.

Ed, Jennifer, Steph and families: It is easy to see how loved Linda was by all the heartfelt messages. Linda was a perfect blend of wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and perfectly seasoned with some spice and everything nice! Always ready to help and do for others without complaint. She was ALWAYS a Lady! We will miss her and getting to play Euchre with her. Peace and comfort to you all at this time.

I will cherish the good and fun times we had at card club. We did more eating and talking than playing cards but that was the Fun part of it. She was loving person and will be missed.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I am flooded with many memories of all of our motorcycle rides and the many places we traveled and played. There was always so much laughter and fun times. Linda was always at the heart of the fun and laughter. Her infectious smile and spunky personality will live on in our hearts forever. Sorry for your loss, always nice to be with her at our mini reunions every summer. The thing I will always remember, is in high school on most Thursday nights before our Basketball games on Friday, Steve kirkpatrick and I would always go for a long walk and end up at Linda's house. She would have something hot to drink. She and her family would always welcome us and make us feel at home.

Ed, Jen, Steph and grandchildren, we are so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. When she called last week I thought she would pull through. We are so glad that she got to go home and have you all with her. I am so grateful that I got to talk with her last week. I pray that the peace of our Lord be with you now and always.
