Lee Weedon Jr, 89, of Lafayette, passed away at 8:25 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Creasy Springs Health Campus.
He was born June 14, 1926, in Lafayette, to the late Lee and Edith Schwartz Weedon Sr.
Lee graduated from Wea High School in 1944 and went on to serve in the United States Army from April 24, 1945 to December 4, 1946.
On February 17, 1957 Lee married Lorene Gano in Clarks Hill and she survives.
Lee owned several business in Tippecanoe County before retiring including, Ready Mix and Lori Lee Mobile Home Estates.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Tippecanoe County Shrine Club and American Legion Post #11. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending winters in Florida.
Surviving along with his wife are two sisters-in-law, Wilma Pickel of Arizona and Shirley (Jim) Smith of Clarks Hill, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with Evan Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute in Lee’s name to Clarks Hill Christian Church or Tippecanoe County Shrine Club.
