Larry D. Hann, 71, of Lafayette, died at 12:48 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital.
Born March 13, 1939, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Ralph and Sylvia Grassmyer Hann.
On June 25, 1961, he married Joann Wilson in Battle Ground, and she survives.
Mr. Hann worked at Caraustar for 32 years in the boiler room and as a millwright. He served in the Army.
He was a member of American Legion Post 492 and the Moose and Eagles lodges, and enjoyed woodworking, ceramics, fishing and NASCAR.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Angela Golden (husband: Frank), and a son, Russell Hann (wife: Bridget), both of Lafayette; and a sister, Bonnie Gladden of California.
Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Ronnie Jordan, Russell and Rhiannon Golden, and Max Hann; and a great-granddaughter, Abbie Jordan. Larry was preceded in death by 4 brothers Rex, Russell, Max and Ralph Hann; and a sister, Isabelle Wilson.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. today, Oct. 19, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909. Service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. Interment will follow at Battle Ground Cemetery with American Legion Post 492 graveside rites. Those wishing may contribute to the Alzheimer?s Association.
