Kristine L. Englert, 50, of Lafayette died Monday April 30, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 14, 1961, in Monticello to Nina Howard Lockard of Lafayette and the late Walter Englert. Kris was preceded in death by her Step father Robert Lockard. She graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1979 and Ivy Tech State College. Kris was a Customer Service representative for 25 years at Lafayette Venetian Blind. She had previously been a Medical Assistant for Dr. Fritsch here in Lafayette. She was member of the 40 & 8 LaFemmes, American Legion Aux Unit #11 and VFW Aux #1154. She was very artistic and enjoyed crafts such as scrapbooking and painting.
Surviving is her daughter Victoria D. Englert of Lafayette , grand son Blake Miller and her companion Chuck Davis of Lafayette. Also survivng are siblings David Scott wife Penny of Monon, Sue Herget of Lafayette, John Englert wife Christy of Lafayette and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to a 6:30 PM Memorial Service on Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Fr. Daniel Gartland officiating. Those wishing may contribute to the Community Cancer Network, Nurses Training or Child Welfare programs of the 40 & 8.
