Kirk B. Toliver

Date of Death: March 9, 2010

Kirk B. Toliver, 57, of West Lafayette, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at his residence.
Born Sept. 2, 1952, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice Stewart Toliver. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1971.
On Nov. 30, 1974, he married Jane Piggott in Lafayette, and she survives.
Mr. Toliver worked for Rostone for 20 years then TRW and Caterpillar. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, and was a sports enthusiast. He was also a musician, and played bass in the Good Time Band and Southern Jam.
Surviving with his wife are his children, Travis B. Toliver and Chris J. Toliver, both of West Lafayette, and Julieanne Gillespie (husband: Kerry) of Lafayette; a brother, Clint Toliver of Lafayette; and a sister, Lisa Strickler (husband: Phil) of Lafayette.
Also surviving is a grandson, Keenan Gillespie.
Visitation from 5 p.m. until the memorial service at 7 p.m. Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
