I've been blessed with working with Coop at DPAA. There were times where we were the only ones working so we talked alot about his family, growing up in Indiana, serving, and our jobs. I found that we had alot in common - we did have some weird differences. For example, he liked chewy cookies and the center cuts of the brownies - both which i hate. I told him that I'll always take your crunchy cookies and brownie edges. Some of the IT Terms like scum (SCCM), Fordisc (I won't say what his term was for that but you can imagine), the FIshbowl (our work area) will forever be used here. Whenever he would go on leave or TDY I would always tell him "Catch you on the flipside". Little did I know this would be the last time. I'm gonna miss you playa!

My sincere condolences to his family. "Coop" was always my go to guy when I was deployed. If it wasn't a phone issue it was my computer. :-) Coop ALWAYS answered the call day or night. He took the time to respond no matter what. I knew Coop professionally since he joined JPAC and DPAA. Always in happy spirits and always there to help. He was a consummate team player and professional. When I would stop in his IT department, I always made a visit to him to see how he was doing. If he was busy or not he ALWAYS took the time to talk with me. He was truly a great guy and I am sure his loss is felt to everyone he had contact with. Its really going to be hard to walk in there and not see him. Going to miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend. You will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, he will be missed dearly and will be remembered for his work ethic and as a friend. HIs dedication to the DPAA mission and sense of humor in his own special way are memorable. During weekly meetings, we enjoyed passing each other's name as a volunteer for projects on a normal basis (especially if the other was late or not present for the meeting). These moments are precious, he will continue to be with us in spirit through our memories.
