Kevin P. McMindes

Kevin P. McMindes, 53, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his residence.  He was born April 14, 1972, in Lafayette, IN, to Kenley and Elaine (Garbers) McMindes.

Kevin graduated from Jefferson High School and Purdue University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Management.  He worked as a Project Manager and Superintendent in commercial and industrial construction, living and working in various locations throughout the country.

Kevin enjoyed music, attending concerts, travel, and sports.  He had an extensive collection of guitars and knives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine McMindes.  Surviving are his father, Kenley McMindes, and sister, Coleen (Kevin) King, as well as his nephew, Aaron King and niece, Sydney King, all of Lafayette, IN.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church (102 Buckingham Dr., Lafayette, IN 47909), with the Rev. Edwin Morrow officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
