Kenneth D. Wade

Kenneth Dale “Sonny” Wade, 69, of Lafayette, died at 7:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012, at Indiana University Health Arnett. He was born November 29, 1942, in Danville, IL, to the late John and Edith Kell Wade. On December 4, 1960, he married Shirley Hodson in Lafayette and she survives. Kenneth was the produce manager at Pay Less for 43 years before retiring. He was a member of Church Alive, and liked attending flea markets and garage sales, going to the casino and was an avid Purdue Basketball and Football fan. Surviving along with his wife are a daughter Roxanna Holle (husband Harold) of Lafayette; two sisters Linda Johns (husband Harold) of Winamac, Debbie Price (husband Terry) of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Michael Holle (wife Tiffany) and Christopher Holle (wife Amber) both of Lafayette and five great-grandchildren, Makylah, Aidan, Addalynn, Teagen and Tait Holle and one on the way. He was preceded in death by a son and a sister. Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 8 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with the funeral service 10:00 am Wednesday, May 9 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Owen Mason officiating. Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to the Charity of their choice.
