Karen and David, I was saddened to see the passing of Keith. I enjoyed having him in class my first year of teaching at the Middle School. He was a nice young man. I always hate to see former students lose a loved one. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. God bless both of you. Coach and Karen Gerdes

Donna and girls, I send hugs and love at this very difficult time. I am so sorry see that Keith has been ill. Since we moved I am so out of the loop of your life and you of mine. I think of all the sweet things your family did for us when we were on Windmill. Loved watching your girls grown up and I am trying to even imagine how old they are now. Time freezes when you get old. I am not driving right now so will not be seeing you all for in person hugs. (recent broke an arm). John has not driven in a couple of years. He is end stage COPD. I send you my love and my prayers as you move forward. Nell Kretzschmar
Jerry Mathews left a message on July 28, 2022:
Donna, Jennifer, and Kelli, Keith will certainly be missed. Keith and I enjoyed several occasions of colorful conversation is his amateur's machine shop. Heard all about the planes, doll house, and his machinery. Wise and witty stories were always ready to be told. Over the years we enjoyed watching all our daughters grow up through school events followed by fun times afterward at Steak-n-Shake. I pray as go through this difficult time, that you can and will continue to place your trust in Christ. I pray as you all heal, that wonderful memories of Keith and life's adventures will fill that gap you feel now. Know that I have lifted you in prayer and will do so in the days ahead. Your friend and friend in Christ Jerry, Marsha, Tasha and Madison
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My heart goes out to all of Keith’s family. I grew up as Keith’s neighbor. For many years we spent thousands of hours building R/C planes, boats, cars. Keith was a great friend that will be missed.

I knew Keith from going to school together in Eureka, Illinois. He was always kind to others. Very sad to hear of his illness and untimely passing.
