Keaton J. Smith, 14, of West Lafayette died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Riley Hospital For Children in Indianapolis. He was born September 24, 2000, in Urbana, IL, to Trent and Julie Gillespie Smith of West Lafayette. Keaton was an 8th grade student at Battle Ground Middle School and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Center in West Lafayette. He played on the Tippy Stars Baseball Team and was a huge fan of Purdue men's and women's basketball. Surviving along with his parents is his sister Chandlar Smith of St. Joseph, MI. Keaton was preceded in death by his brother Braden A. Smith on October 31, 2006 and his sister Riley L. Smith on January 19, 2014. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at St Thomas Aquinas Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday at St Thomas Aquinas Center, 535 State St, West Lafayette, IN, with Fr. Patrick Baikauskas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
