Kay Ann Brady

Kay Ann (DeHahn) Brady, 90, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at St. Anthony Health Care.

She was born July 26, 1936, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Henry and Genevieve (Layton) DeHahn.

Kay attended Purdue University.

On January 23, 1955, she married Walter E. “Gene” Brady in Lafayette. After 71 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in July of this year.

Kay worked for Landis & Gyr and Duncan Electric before retiring.

After Gene’s retirement in 1995, he and Kay moved to Naples, Florida, before returning to Lafayette in 2022.

She had been a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Elks. Kay enjoyed boating, waterskiing, golf, bocce ball, bowling and going on cruises.

Surviving are her children, Kim B. (Kevin) Gibson of Lafayette and Jeffrey A. (Deb) Brady of Monticello. Grandchildren, Courtney (Toby) Steckler, Megan (Frank) Gibson Hatke, Kirby Gibson, and Brooke Brady. Great-grandchildren, Hanna, Alex, and Nathan Steckler, Noah (Madison) Hatke, and Carson Hatke. Two step grandchildren, Rik Foerman and Marcy Banta and a step great grandchild, Priseis Banta.

A private service will be held at Soller-Baker Funeral Home in Lafayette, IN. Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Lafayette, IN. Condolences and memories may be left at www.soller-baker.com
