Justin Michael Maxwell, 33, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on August 25, 1992, in Logansport, IN.

Justin had worked at Maximus Industries since April of this year.

Justin enjoyed his dog Charlie, fishing, camping, spending time with family and friends and watching football.

Surviving is the love of his life Courtney Dewey of Lafayette, IN, his mother, Carla Maxwell of Clinton, TN, his father, Jeremy Maxwell of Buffalo, IN, twelve children, Logan, Sophia, Layden, Larissa, Jaxton, Lexington, Lincoln, Loki, Linnux, Ledger, Lawson and Lainey. Sister’s, Erika (Jesse) Couch of Kokomo, IN and Shaey Birchfield, a brother, Dakoda Maxwell of Kokomo, IN, grandparents, Connie Doran of Royal Center, IN, Dave Maxwell of Delphi, IN, and Homer Simpson of Decatur, TN. Also surviving are several extended family members.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Simpson, uncles, Charlie Simpson, Ronnie Simpson and Jason Maxwell.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 officiating.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to Justin’s Children, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
