Prayers, and blessings to the Rausch Family. I did not know Judy, but I counted her mother, Alyda as a friend through my parents, Bill and Berniece Robinson. Peace be with you from a fellow North ender.
Julie Jones Hufford left a message on April 13, 2024:
I had the pleasure of working with Judy in the surgery pre-op area for 10 years. She was so kind, knowledgeable and always a huge advocate for the patients. One of my favorite memories of Judy was a day she had offered to come in on her day off to help if needed, but when we called she was without a car. She was willing to come in if someone would come to get her. I asked our orderly if he would go get her to which he replied “what is this Driving Miss Daisy?” I called Judy and repeated the conversation and after we finished laughing she said “should I get in the back seat when he arrives?” And I believe she did!! She truly was a joy. My deepest condolences to her family. Julie Jones Hufford

Beth (Schlatter) Laugheed left a message on April 11, 2024:
Judy was a constant presence in my childhood, having spent 8 years next door to her and 10 more years with a house between us. She was the mom of my two best friends and always there for me and the kids in the neighborhood. From orange kool-aid to cheering the Cubbies on the tiny TV in the kitchen, Judy was there with an open door and a warm smile. When I wrecked my bike at an early age, it was Judy who sat me on the counter in their hall bathroom to remove all the gravel from my knee. When my brother was young and had to have a minor surgery, Judy was assisting at the surgery and with him the whole time, being a friendly face as he went back. As a newlywed living in married student housing, I went shopping at Marsh and we bumped into each other and caught up. But, she saved the day when I got to my car and realized I locked my keys in the car. She pulled up next to me in her red Impreza to rescue me. We put all my groceries in the backseat and she drove me home and back with the spare key, all the while her own groceries in the trunk. These are just some of my memories of Judy. She was selfless, kind, warm hearted, and like a second mom when I needed one. My deepest sympathies to all the Rausch family. Love you all. 💛💛💛 ~Bethy Rooney
