Ronald Somerville left a message on December 29, 2011:
I was a co-worker with Judy in the Biochemistry Department, and was very saddened to learn of her passing. Judy was a courageous person of high character who made the best of the hand that was dealt to her in life. She and I spoke often, especially after the death of her daughter, since I too had lost a daughter. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be an inspiration to her family and all those who knew her. In her name I will be making a donation to the American Heart Association.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am going to miss visiting with her most mornings at work. It would always crack me up when she would refer to me as her ""boss"", because I didn&t feel like a boss. She was older than me and I am still from the generation where one respects those who are older. I respected her and considered her a friend. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts are with her family.
