Joyce Linderer

Joyce Linderer, 86, of Lafayette passed away Tuesday January 29, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central. Joyce was born November 5, 1926, in Wolstanton, England, to the late Charles George & Mary Ann Evans. She married Loren Dale Linderer March 20, 1946 in Southampton, England. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1993. Joyce came to the United States on “The Queen Mary” in 1947 after Loren Dale returned from WWII. Joyce formerly worked at The Brown Rubber, Central Lab and Duncan Meter. She was a member of the Elston Presbyterian Church and The American Legion Post 11 auxiliary. Joyce loved people, music, flowers and working in her yard. She was always so kind and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was devoted to her family and her home. She will always be in her family's heart and will forever be missed. Surviving are three children: Donald (Don) D. Linderer (wife: Gina) of Sahuarita, AZ, Denise E. Matthys (Husband: Ron) of Lafayette and Susan (Sue) A. Linderer (Companion: Dan Muller) of Earl Park, IN. One Sister in Law: Frances Bennett of Huntington, IN. One Brother in Law: Ted Smith of England, and five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother and one great grand child. Friends may visit from 9 – 11 am Saturday February 2, 2013 at Soller-Baker Twyckingham Lafayette Chapel with funeral service beginning at 11:00 am.with Pastor Bill and Pam Mickler officiating. Entombment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimers Foundation of America or Disabled American Veterans.
