Joyce (Eiler) Myers, 76, passed away on April 14, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. Joyce (Eiler) Myers, 76, passed away on April 14, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She was born March 21, 1939 in Warsaw to the late Carroll and Marguerite (Huffer) Eiler and graduated from Mentone High School. She married Harry L. Myers in Palestine, on September 3, 1961 and he survives. Joyce loved her farm roots growing up on and later owning an egg farm in northern Indiana. Even though she had been off of the farm for many years, she enjoyed sharing her knowledge of chickens and eggs with those who cared for her in a rehab facility. After the farm, she spent 17 years working for and eventually retiring from the Purdue Employee Federal Credit Union where she served as the Executive Assistant to the President. Joyce was a member of the Kossuth Street Baptist Church. Surviving along with her husband are a daughter, Angie Teel (Jeff) of Brookston, a son, Russell Myers (Jaci) of Lafayette, and two brothers, Doyle Eiler (Janice) and Larry Eiler (Ann). Also surviving is her granddaughter, Emily Myers of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Adam and Bruce Myers. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm on Friday, April 17 at Kossuth Street Baptist Church at 2901 Kossuth St. Lafayette, IN 47905. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at the church with Pastor's Paul Briggs and Drew Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Chalmers Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute in Joyce's name to Kossuth Street Baptist Church.
