Lafayette died the morning of Saturday, December 3, 2011.
He was born September 24, 1983, in Lafayette to Gregory and Rose Goad George of Lafayette.
For the past six years Josh had been employed at Lafayette Venetian Blind.
Josh was an avid sports lover; he shared his father?s love for football?s Washington Redskins and baseball?s Texas Rangers. He was also an avid Purdue Boilermaker fan. After graduating from McCutcheon High School he enjoyed umpiring girl?s softball games.
His friends and family will always remember him by his huge smile and tender heart. He would be there for anyone in need; from closest friends to his neighbors.
Surviving along with his parents Greg and Rose is a sister Nicole George of Lafayette, his Grandfather Robert E. George (wife Mary) of Noblesville and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by Grandparents Ralph and Mary Goad, Grandmother Helen George, and an Uncle Robert Goad.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, December 7, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with funeral services at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909 with Rev. Lore Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.

Greg,

I was significantly helped by our talks a few years ago when both of our sons were going through difficult times. At that time, we were experiencing similar paths of parental highs and lows and it really helped to share that with someone else.

I wish I had the words to help you through this difficult time, but there are none that will suffice. Please just know that as another parent who&s imagined the situation that you&re living through hundreds of times myself, my heart goes out to you during this extremely difficult period.

Those precious words have always remained in that area of my mind where I hold the most treasured things I have ever heard. He has always been so special. Thank you for sharing him with me. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God comfort you through this difficult time. I love you all so much and I am so sorry for the loss of sweet Josh.
