Joseph Edward Sutton Jr., aged 79, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, at Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette, Indiana. He was born on December 18, 1944, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Joseph Edward Sutton Sr. and Margeret (Krummreich) Sutton.
He was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He married Katherine Lucille Cox on July 20, 1963. They celebrated 60 years of marriage last year. He worked at Fairfield Manufacturing Company for 42 years, retiring in 2007.
Joe was a hard worker. He enjoyed puttering around in his garage, working outside, and gardening. In his earlier years, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping with his family. He was an active member of the Lafayette Pentecostal Church of God, volunteering his time, serving on the Board, and regularly attending Sunday services until his health declined.

He is survived by his wife Lucille; brothers, Bob (Shirley) Sutton; Frank (Tracey) Sutton; Ray (Linda) Sutton; and his four children, Joe III (Julie) Sutton; Kathy Sutton; Barbara (Ed) Boardman; and Becky Neal. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bill Sutton; sister Josephine Sutton; and grandson Quincy Sutton.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Lafayette Pentecostal Church of God, 3616 S 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47909. Interment will be at Saint Boniface Cemetery in Lafayette. You may leave condolences at www.soller-baker.com
