I was saddened to hear of his passing, but I will say he had a full and meaningful life. I received my BS from Purdue in 1984; Thanks to his 'Insecticides' course I was well prepared for Grad School at LSU - I was the only student there that knew how to calibrate a sprayer!

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of my former professor and fellow entomologist John Osmun. I remember taking his Pesticides class and also his great hospitality when he invited new graduate students over to his house back in 1976. His warm-heartedness and caring will be greatly missed. Please accept my deepest sincere condolences.
