Dear James Family, I want to thank you all for allowing our family to be part of your family. Although our communication has been rare over the years, it has always been sweet and uplifting when it occurred. I have many wonderful memories of our travels to Lafayette in the summer and at Christmas! I know Joanne spent many hours preparing the pool for our visits and it was so awesome to soak in it and let the kids play while Ron and I caught up with Joanne. Both Kate and Zack have vivid memories of this pool time…”cannon balls,” “Zack and Ian being super rowdy,” “having fun and eating tomatoes off the vine from the garden.” The BBQs and pizza parties in the evening with Papa Bloom and your Dad were so special. Our family was so blessed to make it home every Christmas until Papa Bloom passed away in 1998. The beautiful tree in the living room with presents galore underneath with all our family around congers up such amazing family memories. The cranberry punch that always awaited us in the big punch bowl never failed to bring on the holiday cheer. I loved Papa Bloom’s Christmas music that he played on the stereo. I will be praying for all of you as you adjust to life without our precious John. Please know that Jesus is right beside you to offer you comfort, peace and the hope of eternal life as you walk through the hard times to come. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. If you have any memories you would like to share with our family or have any questions about how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus, don’t hesitate to call or text. Love you all so much! Sue

I feel so lucky to have been friends with John since 1st grade. Growing up in this neighborhood was so much fun, John and I are the only two that I know of that still live here. Every time we saw each other, he would say, stop by the house, we’re still neighbors! My memories growing up with J.J., J.P. Doug, Kevin, Carla, Carrie, Robin, Ashlyn, Carolyn, Tony, Curt, Terri and the whole neighborhood are priceless. John was one of the best “guy” friends I ever had. I am truly blessed to have known him and call him my lifetime friend. Rest In Peace my dear friend, you will missed ?
