Jeris was a friend of my father, Ted Luce. My dad greatly valued his Kiwanis friends.

Condolences to the Eikenberry Family- I fondly remember visiting my grandfather- the late Marion F Bodkin - when he worked at the State Seed /Chemist Department @ Purdue ( 1968 + ) & 'Mr Eikenberry' worked there- I started freshman year. Very nice gentleman. Sending 🙏

So sorry for your losses. I first met Jeris when he was the pianist for my tap lessons at Camden. He told me many years later at a Jeff Antique Show ( he was again playing) that he was earning money then, as he was in college. My mom was the Home Extension Agent at Delphi, Jeris was in 4-H and his mother was in Home Ec. Any recordings of him playing for sale? He played so well!

Joyce. Jeris and I become friends during the 50s when we were both at Purdue. I enjoyed his friendship and listening to his music at the state fair. He will be missed Our thoughts and prayers are with you. /Ed Pollock retired Extension

Dear Joyce- I was so saddened to read of the passing of Jeris and daughter Beth. Jeris and I go way back to September, 1963 when I joined the Dept of Biochemistry as a graduate research analyst. We both took Organic Chemistry in the fall and he had said that I was the reason he passed. I doubted that. We shared many of our experiences in the military Reserves- he in the Army and I in the Navy. I finally got my PhD in 1975 and relocated down the street to the Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab. We kept in touch for a while. My wife Barb passed in 2024. I am now involved with the Grief Support program of Franciscan Health. Turns out that I have an appointment with an Air Force veteran around the time of Jeris' service. I'll try to stop by prior to his service to see you and pay my respects. Love, Bob Everson

Dearest Joyce, We are so sad for you and Dave’s loss of Jeris (and Beth Ann) Jeris was a special friend thru the years and he will be so missed! He was such a servant to so many- sharing his gift of piano with so, so many along with his love. His legacy will go on and on! I’m so grateful he is no longer suffering and is in the presence of our Savior, but know these losses will be felt deeply…and we pray that your precious memories of your years together and God’s indescribable love carries you and bring you peace in the coming days. Wrapping you in our love and prayers. Bob&Lyn
