Jeffrey Lynn Beumel

Jeffrey Lynn Beumel, 73, of Lafayette was unexpectedly welcomed into His Saviors arms at 11:13 am, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Franciscan Health Lafayette with his family by his side.

He was born June 25, 1953, in Frankfort to the late Wilford and Frona (Patmore) Beumel. Jeffrey was a graduate of Frankfort High School and earned his Associates’ Degree in Electrical Engineering from ICS. On May 17, 1975, he married Robin Lynn Brewer in Frankfort and she survives. Before retiring, Jeffrey worked 36 years as an electrical engineer for Duke Energy where he was the engineer for several large projects around town such as the Wabash Landing, the Lafayette Pavilions, and many more. He assisted with getting power to the community after storm damage and even worked out of state to support hurricane relief.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking trips, going to museums, cars, and working on projects. He had a lovely sense of humor and loved to tell stories.

Along with his wife, Robin, he is survived by his 2 children, Jennifer (Stuart) Jenkins and Jeffrey (Mallori) Beumel; 3 granddaughters: Madeline and Samantha Jenkins and Olivia Beumel as well as several cousins and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Frona Beumel; and his older brothers Wilford “Bub” Beumel and Errol D. Beumel.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until time of memorial service at 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.
