Jeffery Owen Russell, 64, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at IU Health Arnett.

He was born on January 19, 1961, in Lafayette to Florence (Hays) and the late Donald C. Russell. He was a graduate of McCutcheon High School. On September 11, 1982, he married the love of his life, Cathy Jo Bailey.

Jeff was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and drinking beer. He also took pride in his yard, mowing, and gardening. You will never find a stick in the yard or even the woods. He was always on the go, finding tasks to complete. He recently had his dream barn built.

Along with his wife Cathy, he is survived by his 2 daughters, Nicole (Brett) Gillock and Emily (Nick) Ashby, both of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Mason Gillock, Ensley Ashby, Reagan Ashby, Eden Ashby, and Kreed Ashby; Mother Florence Kalen; 5 siblings, Cindy (Jerry) Prather, Becky Dallas, Randy (Judy) Russell, JR Russell, and Bill (Beverly) Russell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Russell; mom, Nina Russell; and a sister, Donna Russell.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, October 6, 2025, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

Service will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 N., West Lafayette, IN 47906.
