Jeffery Lynn Wells, 70, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his residence.

He was born March 25, 1952, in Delphi, to the late Elton and Blanche (Rohrabough) Wells.

Jeff graduated from Delphi High School.

His marriage was to Donna Coe and they have been married 37 years.

Jeff worked in Geographical Information Systems at Purdue University for the past several years.

He had a love for golf, cars, especially his 1975 Corvette and his dog Boiler.

Surviving is his wife, Donna Coe Wells of Lafayette, a brother, Bob (wife Pat) Wells of Delphi, sister, Dixie (husband Charles) Taylor of St. Petersburg, FL and his best friend and golfing buddy Allen (wife Glenda) Bradford of West Lafayette.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Monday August 29, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 N. West Lafayette where he will be buried.

Family request casual attire.

Where do I start? I met Jeff and Donna from my work where they came in to eat quite frequently. Over a span of 22 almost 23 years we all became such good friends. The laughing, crying, holidays, birthdays the life events go on....Jeff from the get go always treated me like one of the family. He was such a wonderful caring man who always has something nice or funny to say when he knew you were having a bad day. The sudden absence of Jeff has left me and I am sure everyone in a blur of why? No matter what Jeff and Donna will always be that cool couple I loved to wait on......Jeff wherever you are I have the UT most respect and love for you and the world is now one less awesome person. Rest in peace....you are and always will be missed greatly.

Donna, so sorry for your loss. I was talking with Blair and she was remembering riding in the Xmas parade with Jeff. I know he will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I only knew Jeff for a short period of time (I started playing golf with Jeff and Allen about 3 months ago), I was saddened to learn of his passing. I will always remember his positive attitude and golfing comradeship.

Donna our hearts are broken for you. Jeff was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. He certainly could bring a smile to you!! Love and prayers my sister.

I was shocked when Donna called to tell me of Jeff's passing. I met Jeff when I hired him at Purdue as a GIS Tech. We grew to be friends playing golf when I could get a way. Jeff was kind, fun to be around, and was a always ready to pitch in. I'll miss seeing him walking Boiler around the neighborhood. Donna, I will keep you and all of Jeff's family and friends in my prayers. RIP my friend.
