Jayne A. Hare, 64, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in her residence.

She was born May 19, 1959, in Wolcott, to the late Edwin and Patricia (Allen) Churchill. She was a 1978 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. A year later, in 1979, she married Wallace D. Hare Sr., and he survives. Jayne worked as a District Supervisor for Marsh Supermarkets for 30 years.

Jayne enjoyed arts and crafts, being an artist, and shopping. Her greatest joy in life was that of being a wife, a wonderful mother, and grandmother to her three grandsons. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her and loved her.

Along with her husband, Wallace D. Hare Sr.; she is survived by her son, Wallace D. (Blair) Hare, Jr.; 3 grandsons, Jonah Hare, Arley Hare, and Evan Hare; a sister, Susan Davis; and her 2 best friends, Miriam Halsema and Janet Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Patricia Churchill; and her sister, Kim Garwin.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909 with Dr. Joe Gazarkiewicz officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 2122 Old Romney Rd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

I have so many amazing fun memories with Jayne over the 20 years I worked with her...I called Her Mother Grape....we had so many inside jokes that even to this day we would see each other and someone would get called miss skinny hair spray or there was mention of a poddle and a 100 dollar bill.
