Janet Florence Long-Sietsma, 72, of Lafayette, died at 12:55 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Heritage Health Care.
She was born June 19, 1939, in Lafayette, to the late John P. and Florence A. Donohue Muller.
After she graduated from Oxford High School she married Donald Long.
Working in the service industry she devoted her life to her daughter Florence June who suffered with Cystic Fibrosis for 26 years before she died on August 14, 2000.
She is survived by a sister Mary Norma Emery of Silver Spring, MD, a brother-in-law Gus Geppi , two sister-in-laws Marge and Nancy Muller, her long time friend Orville White and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, and siblings Jack, Madonna, Sarah and Bernard.
A memorial service will be at Grace United Methodist Church 615 N. 22nd St Lafayette, IN 47904 at a later date.
A private family burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
