James “Tim” Timothy Farrell

James Timothy Farrell, 68 of Lafayette, transitioned to heaven, Wednesday, October 8, 2025.  Known to family and friends as Tim. He was born on Tuesday, May 28, 1957, to John Patrick Farrell, III and Helen Maxine Ream Farrell, in Lafayette, Indiana.  He retired January 2, 2025, from ZF Active Safety and Electronics US LLC, here in Lafayette, after 26 years of service.

He attended Central Catholic High School and Purdue University, he enjoyed his children and grandchildren, going to lunch with his siblings, family gatherings, working on cars, being a handyman and food.  Most important was his love of the Lord, a generous heart, and his willingness to help others.

In loving memory James is cherished by his seven children, son Joshua “JB” Brady Farrell (spouse Naomi); daughter, Jessica Fryer (spouse Dale);  son Bradford Farrell (spouse Kim) daughter Tracie Marshall (spouse Christopher) son Brent Farrell,  daughter Corrine Farrell (partner Andrew),  son Austin Farrell (spouse Alisha), fourteen grandchildren, Macy, Ruth, Abigail, Aliyah, John, Braedan, Charlotte,  Alexandra, Evelyn, Declan, Rowan, Vivienne, Avery and Abram.  He is also cherished by one brother Michael Farrell, Three sisters Catherine Flowers (spouse Jeff), Diane Dender, Elizabeth Jo Farrell and two nephew Steve and Patrick and four nieces, Stacey, April, Erinne and Haileigh.  James is preceded in death by his parents, John (Jack)Patrick Farrell II and Helen Maxine (Mic) Ream Farrell and a brother John Patrick (Pat) Farrell III.

Ceremony to Celebrate James’ life is November 1, 2025, at 1pm at the White Horse Christian Center, 1780 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette, IN 47906.   Memorial Contributions may be made to Food for Friends via White Horse Christian Church online at whcc.net/give or by mail.
