James R. Feeney, 66
James R. Feeney, 66, of Lafayette, died at 1:36 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at his residence.
Born Dec. 11, 1943, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Thomas James and Betty Jane Mansfield Feeney.
He graduated from Montmorenci High School and served in the Marine Corps from Oct. 25, 1961, to June 29, 1967.
In 1965, he married Maelinda S. Morris. They later divorced.
Mr. Feeney worked for Eli Lilly & Co. as a chemical operator.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and Purdue football and basketball.
Surviving are a daughter, Deb Curtis (husband: Brad) of Millstadt, Ill.; three sons, James R. Feeney Jr. (wife: Janet) of Otterbein, and Brian Feeney and Scott Feeney, both of Lafayette; and a brother, Dan Feeney of Lafayette.
His family was by his side when he died.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Cole Guenther; and Chris, Nathan, Roger, Jessica, and Richard Feeney; and a great-grandchild, Kolsey Feeney.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, David and Dale, and a sister, Marilyn.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Fr. Paul Graf officiating. Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
