Mike and LeAnn Wood left a message on March 13, 2023:
Our hearts go out to Betty, Megan, Tim, Erin and their extended family over the loss of a husband, father and grandfather. We lived next door to Betty and Jim and the kids for many years, and probably better than most appreciate the kind, sharing man Jim was. Jim was always the first to offer a helpful hand in any task that needed to be done. We remember the Old Farm Road Picnics and Jim's helping make those special days for kids and adults alike. Jim was one of the "original" tennis doubles teams that played on Doc's court March through December. The "origional" doubles teams consisted of Ellsie, Compy, Doc and myself. I can still hear Jim yelling over the net, "Give me your best serve Woodsie!" A true compliment to Betty and Jim is the three beautiful, smart, caring kids they raised. It doesn't get any better than that. That's a legacy!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Mr. Ellsberry. From playing tennis to plays in the driveway to him never getting mad when we would eat all the raspberries in the yard. He was such a kind man and I am so grateful to have been able to grow up knowing him. Prayers and hugs Betty, Megan, Tim, Erin, and family.
