Jacqueline Jean Allen, 78, of West Point, passed away peacefully on Friday April 24, 2026. She was born May 9, 1947, in West Point, Indiana to the late Robert Martin and Jeanie Martin. After graduating high school, she was married June 4, 1965, in West Point to Don Lewis Allen Sr.
Soon after their marriage, they welcomed their children into the world. While on her journey through motherhood, Jackie took classes at Purdue University that allowed her to serve as an EMT at the West Point Fire Station, a phlebotomist at Home Hospital and a patient advocate at Regency Place in Lafayette. She also supported her husband, Don Allen Sr., in his trucking business.
Jackie did have a love of the unique things in life such as clothing, jewelry and the arts. She opened her own high-end clothing boutique in Downtown Lafayette called Jacqueline’s Clothiers on the corner of Fourth and Main Street. After years in business, Mrs. Allen closed her boutique, stepping into her role of a grandmother. She spent her years attending races, meets, and recitals and enjoying all her grandchildren.
Jackie left behind a legacy of love that will never fade. She was the true heart of our family, a person of remarkable sweetness whose greatest joy was found in the happiness of others. She spent a lifetime showing others what it meant to love unconditionally. She made the world a softer, brighter place. Above all, Jackie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving are her children; a daughter, Tami Allen and a son, Don Allen Jr. (wife: Angela) both of Lafayette. Also surviving are grandchildren Tyler Allen (wife: Kaylon), Seth Allen, Mackinze Isgrigg (husband: Chase), Tristen Allen (wife: Morgan); great grandchildren Carson Allen, Haisley Allen, Ava Allen, Evelyn Isgrigg, Brooks Isgrigg, Jackson Allen, Jensen Allen. Her first love was for her family. She loved spending the 47 years of marriage to her late husband.
