Jackie D. Martin, 83, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at his home. He was born December 25, 1937, in Lafayette, to the late James and Marjorie (Cornell) Martin. Jack graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1955. He served in the National Guard from 1955-1958 and served in the Navy from 1958-1962. On April 7, 1962, he married Sande Erdie in Lafayette and she survives. Jack had worked at ALCOA for 37 years.

Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was the neighborhood handyman.

Surviving along with his wife are his children Victoria S. Treida of Indianapolis, Lance J. (Melanie) Martin of Lafayette, grandchildren Jake Treida, Lauren (Matt) Terkhorn, Kaitlin (Dave) Gregory, Meagan Martin Bray, Austin Martin, great grandchildren Emma Bray, Jacob Duke, Sophia Terkhorn, Aubree Gregory, Penelope Terkhorn, Naomi Treida and Forrest Terkhorn. Jack was preceded in death by his brother Max E. Martin. No service is planned at this time.

So sorry and sad to read of Jackie's passing. I worked with Jackie for years and have lasting memories of our conversations and the laughs we shared. We pray that your heart and soul will find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
