All three of my children attended Lafayette Jefferson High. My daughter, Kristen, worked in the athletic office and was acquainted with Jack and his daughter. He devoted his life to the LSC and was well liked.

Sue, Jackie and Family, Coach will be missed by Broncho Alumni forever. That smile, sense of humor, and personlity was one of a kind. His words of encouragement helped guide our Jeff basketball teams to many great seasons. Truly one of the best ever!! Dear Susan and Jackie, We are deeply saddened to learn of Jack’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Jack always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. We’ll never forget how he would walk over when Dad was in the backyard, and the two of them would give each other a hard time—it was always fun to watch and brought a lot of joy to those moments. Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time. Dee Dee, Debbie and Michael
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My deepest condolences to Coach Schult's family. I played JV baseball, basketball, & football for Coach in the 70s. He was a gentleman, and coach that really cared about his players. He made sports fun. I can still see him giving us pep talks and flicking his hands and fingers out as a way that he talked. We use to tease him a little about that. I have nothing but fond memories of Coach. Just a great guy. Vince Klinker (class of 75)

My heartfelt condolences to Susan, Jackie and family. I had the pleasure of waiting on Jack for over 20 years at TNT Dry Cleaners. He was a complete joy! He always came in with a smile and a good story or joke. He was gracious, appreciative, humble, kind and funny. All of us enjoyed his weekly little visits. Our community lost a good man. Many blessings to you all and God bless you guys during this difficult time. Rest in Peace, Jack.

Jack was ten years old when I first met Mr Schult . In 1963 he was my Little League coach when I was 12 ! Jack taught us how to play with pride and we responded with the city championship, state championship, Division Championship, and within one game of the World Series! That winter he was assistant coach for the 1964 Jeff Basketball State Champions . Three years later we were player and coach for Jeff Basketball! He was one of the guiding lights for me in my youth! I owe so much to his mentorship! When I was ten years old he told us to ‘play like the New York Yankees’ , I’m a Yankee fan to this day! I have so many great memories of Mr Schult but I’ll just say this, it was my honor to play for Jack and my sincere honor to call him my friend! My condolences Susan and Jackie , RIP Mr Schult
