Herbert Leon McClimans, 78, of Pine Village, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at his residence.

He was born October 27, 1947, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Herbert and Violet (Battering) McClimans.

On November 2, 1970 he married Vickie Nell.

Herbert worked as a Assistant Commisoner for the City of Lafayette for many years.

Herbert loved his wife very dearly and enjoying spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed helping people, coon hunting, fishing, and working on vehicles.

Surviving are his daughters, Rachel Bandy and Rosanna Martin, sister, Shirley Hardesty, grandchildren, Stephen Bandy, Andrew Bandy, Nikki Couch, Michael Funk, Anthony Funk, Kasi Lansing, Ivey Mills, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie McClimans. As well as brothers, Mike McClimans, Ronnie McClimans, and Gary McClimans.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Rev. Joseph Park Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
