Helen A. Lohmiller, 95
Helen A. Lohmiller, 95, of Lafayette, died at 12:12 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Rosewalk Village.
Born Nov. 14, 1914, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Gertrude Jenkins Baker. She graduated from West Lafayette High School then received her cosmetology degree.
On May 24, 1935, she married Frank Lohmiller in West Lafayette, and he died on Nov. 12, 1996.
Mrs. Lohmiller was a homemaker, and was a member of the Tippy Camping Club. An avid bowler, she also enjoyed knitting, Purdue and Lafayette Jefferson basketball, and Chicago Cubs baseball.
Surviving are two sons, John R. Lohmiller (wife: Becky) of Monticello and Edward W. Lohmiller (wife: Vicki) of Lafayette; and a daughter, Janet K. Singler of North Carolina.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service 2 p.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Rev.
