Helen L. Netherton, 74, of Lafayette, passed away at 10:15 am Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Creasy Springs Health Campus.
She was born July 7, 1941, in Lebanon, to the late Leonard and Demie Owens Hale. Helen married James A. Netherton on July 25, 1958 in Lebanon and he survives.
Helen was a fifty three year member of First Assembly Community Ministries. She enjoyed the time with her church family but mostly the time with her family and all her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Vicki Pruitt of Lafayette, Tammy Whitford (husband Jim) of West Lafayette and Jill Bodkin (husband Clyde) of Zionsville, a son, Gary Netherton (wife Luchie) of Lafayette, two sisters, Doris Jean Metzger of Thorntown and Diane Snyder of Lebanon and a brother, Russell Hale (wife Carole) of Lawrenceburg. Also surviving are grandchildren, Joel, Matthew, Rachel, Bethany, Brooke, Adam, Allison, Hannah, Mariel, Josiah, Meredith, Natalie, Stephanie and Katherine along with great grandchildren, Luke, Madelyn, Klayton and Jake. She was preceded in death by a brother David Hale.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until the time of the memorial service at 6:00pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at First Assembly Community Ministries 108 Beck Lane, Lafayette, IN 47909. Pastor Joe Bell will be officiating. Inurnment will be at Meadow View Cemetery. You may donate in Helen's name to JC Kids Ministry of First Assembly Community Ministries.
