Gregory A. McNeely, 48, of Lafayette, died at2:08 PM, Friday, July 29, 2016, in Frankfort. He was born August 27, 1967, in Cleveland, OH, to Roy McNeely and Rebecca Franklin. Rebecca and Greg's stepfather, Michael Franklin, together raised him through childhood. His stepfather preceded him in death. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1986. On June 29, 1990 he marriedDulea Waples in Lafayette. She survives. For the last 8 years Gregory worked as a machinist at Fairfield Manufacturing.
Greg attended Purdue where he studied Electrical Engineering Technology. He loved his Harley, working out, spending time on the river with family and friends, and playing the video game counter strike with his buddies in Michigan. He was a member of Local Union 2317
Surviving along with the wife, Dulea McNeely, of Lafayette, are his four sons, Jeffrey McNeely (wife Megan) of Lafayette, Jordan McNeely of Terre Haute, Jeremy McNeely of Lafayette, Jamie McNeely of Lafayette, brother, Brian McNeely (wife Nancy) of Lafayette, his sisters, Megan Newkirk (husband Matt) of Lafayette,and Julie Meserve (husband Richard) of Arizona, and his parents, Roy McNeely of Tombstone, AZ and Rebecca Franklin of Lafayette.
