Grace O. Oladapo, 93, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Franciscan Health East.

She was born February 4, 1931, in Iree, Nigeria, as one of twenty-five children.

Her marriage was to Joseph Ladapo, and he preceded her in death.

Grace worked as a teacher for several years before retiring.

Grace was very strong in her Baptist faith, active in children evangelism ministry, and helped start three Baptist churches.

Her children, Funso (Bisi) Ladapo, Oluranti (Olajumoke) Ladapo, Mope (Layi) Adeola, Bolatito (Pade) Ayoola, Dupe (Demola) Olapade, and Bukola (Bukola) Ladapo, are surviving. Also surviving are twenty-three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

There will be no local services. The family will celebrate her life when she returns to Nigeria.

Ajadi, Oko Mama Ladapo! so she used to call me. Grandma has been a mother to me, she puts others first and at all time ready to help meet their needs.She is a true mother indeed. She did share her time and uses it for others.A hardworking woman blessed with a gift of Craft(Knitting). She is a mother who loved God and served Him all her life.
