Gertrude M. Igo, 83, of Lafayette, passed away at 9:00 am on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born January 15, 1931, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Edward and Gertrude MacDonough Kramer. On July 11, 1953 she married Michael S. Igo and he survives. Gertrude was a member of St. Boniface Church and enjoyed reading, cooking, crafts and shopping. Surviving along with her husband, are their children, Kevin Igo (Sue) of Lafayette, Maura Marker (Mark) of LaGrange, IL, Michele Igo Stone (Dennis) of Davis, CA, Mark Igo (Anjie) of Forney, TX, Michael P. Igo of Greensboro, NC and Brian Igo (Kim) of Westfield, a brother Edward Kramer of North Olmsted, OH along with sixteen Grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with the Rosary service at 4:45 on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Alkire officiating. Burial will follow at St Boniface Cemetery in Lafayette. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDRF) at 10401 N.
