Gerald G. Dillon, 66, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at IU Arnett Health.
He was born October 28, 1950, in Gary, IN, to Lucy Dillon of Gary and the late Eddie Dillon Sr.
Gerald graduated from Gary Roosevelt High School in 1968. His marriage was to Wanda J. Porterfield and she survives.
Gerald worked as an auto mechanic for several years.
Surviving along with his wife and mother are three sons, Tyrone (Tracy) Dillon of Prattville, AL, Gerald Dillon, Jr. of Orlando, FL, and John Dillon of Lafayette; a daughter, April (Chris) McBride of Allegan, MI; seven brothers, Jeff, Richie, Tim, Ralph, Roger, Conrad and Eddie Dillon, Jr.; three sisters, Debra Pinkins, Brenda Moore and Lucinda Crockett. Also surviving are six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lizzy.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm unitl the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery.
