Frederick “Rick” E. Surber II, 63, of Indianapolis died Thursday September 19, 2013 at IU North Hospital, Carmel. He was born February 6, 1950, in Indianapolis to Frederick Surber (wife Betty) of West Lafayette and the late Patricia Surber. Frederick was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and attended Ball State University. He worked at Trader Joe's in Indianapolis for many years and was a musician in the Indianapolis area. Surviving with his father and stepmother is a sister Karol Hicks Surber of Indianapolis, a brother Timothy Surber of Martinsville and a special cousin William Smith of Indianapolis. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
