Fred E. Miles, 69, Lafayette, died on November 20, 2009 ,at his residence. Born December 8, 1939, in Danville, Illinois, he was the son of the late Robert and Marveleen Lane Miles.

He married Carol Williams, who survives, on October 19, 1963, in Logansport.

Mr. Miles graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago in 1957 and received a bachelor?s degree in Industrial Economics from Purdue University in 1962. He graduated from the US Naval Officer Candidate School, Newport, R.I. and the U.S. Naval Supply Corps School in Athens, GA. He reached the rank of Lieutenant and served in the Naval Reserves.
He was also a graduate of Victory Bible Institute, Victory Christian Center, where he was a member. Mr. Miles was a purchasing agent at Fairfield Mfg. Co. in Lafayette for 29 years.

Also surviving are three children: Matthew Miles (Robin) Huntington Beach, CA; Beth Miles Barry (Tim) Corte Madera, CA; Mark Miles (Wendy) Frankfort, IN; and six grandchildren.

A private service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Christian Center 10 North Earl Ave. Lafayette ,IN. 47905

Our family condolences to Fred&s family. It was my privilege to know Fred and work with my many years. Fred and I had several conversations regarding Bible issues and enjoyed these times of sharing. I know Fred will be missed and am sure he is conversing with our Lord and enjoying the company of many saints. God&s Blessings and Comfort are our Prayers for the family.
