Francis M. “Frank” Wolfe, 79, of Lafayette, formerly of Munster, died at 9:15 PM Friday, November 11, 2011 at his residence.
He was born November 6, 1932, in Griffith, to the late Alva Raymond and Ethel Elliott Wolfe.
He graduated high school in Thornton Township, Thornton, IL.
On October 02, 1953 he married Dolores Cundiff in Crown Point and she survives.
He retired from Electric Systems NIPSCO.
He was the past president and active member of the former White Oak Association in Munster, a lifetime member of the Munster High School Booster Club, and a longtime member of the Munster F.O.P.
Surviving along with his wife are a daughter Sherri Rinderer of Lafayette, two sons Michael L. Wolfe (wife Diane) of Hepbzibah, GA , Dale A. Wolfe (wife Mary) of Lafayette, a brother Lewis “Gene” Wolfe (wife Judy) of New Lennox, IL , a sister Shirley Lester of Lansing, IL, a brother-in-law James Duke of Highland, 6 grandchildren – Rebecca Sargent, Adam Wolfe, Amanda McConnell, Michael Wolfe Jr (wife April), Benjamin Rinderer, Jeffery Wolfe (wife Suzanna) and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Helen Duke.
A private family service will be held in Monee, IL.
