Francis E. Hudlow, 89, of Lafayette, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday August 4, 2012, at Indiana University Health.
He was born December 7, 1922, in Lafayette to the late Thomas and Pearl Lucas Hudlow.
He served in the United States Army Air Force as a War Photographer and reaching a Sergeants ranking from December 27, 1941, to September 13, 1945, Serving in the EAME Theater Egypt-Libya-Tunisia,Sicily,
Naples-Foggia, Rome?Arno and Southern France with the 57th Fighter Group-65th Squadron and receiving six bronze stars, distinguished Unit Citation.
On March 21, 1945, he married Donna Deck in Lafayette and she survives.
Mr. Hudlow retired from the Tippecanoe County Sheriffs Dept. Mr. Hudlow was an avid HAM RADIO OPERATOR and a member of the following organizations, Disabled Veteran Post 27, American Legion Post 492, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154, Fraternal Order Police Lodge 49, Tippecanoe Radio Association, Tube Collectors Association Charter Member, Indiana Historical Radio Association, Antique Radio Association, Armed Forces Radio Net, 57th Fighter Group-65th Squadron and International Net Inc. 46779.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Hudlow, of Lafayette; three daughters, Donna (husband: Ron) Rund, of Lafayette, Bonnie (husband: Tom) Otto, of Lafayette and Susan (husband: Greg) Shaff, of New Richmond; a son, Mark Hudlow, of Lafayette; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; twin Daughters; and half brothers, Russell, Donald and Kenneth Hudlow.
The Family will be having a private service on Tuesday.
