Florence B. Patton, 94, of Mulberry, died at 3:46 a.m. Tuesday April 27, 2010, at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.
Born Jan. 21, 1916, in Tippecanoe County, to the late Lawrence and Lena Hege Lahrman, she graduated from Dayton High School in 1934.
She married Wallace Patton in Lafayette on Dec. 24, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. Patton and her husband farmed in the Dayton area for more than 35 years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a former member of the Dayton Mothers Club.
Surviving are four sons, William Patton of Covina, Calif., Edward Patton (wife: Marilyn Sue) of Lafayette, James L. Patton of San Francisco and Dennis P. Patton (wife: Rebecca) of Zionsville; three brother, Lawrence Lahrman (wife: Marge) of Lafayette, Joseph Lahrman of Mulberry and John Lahrman of Dayton; and a sister, Peggy Ritchie of Anderson.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Thomas J. Patton, and sisters, Frances Hangest, Margaret Cornell, and a brother Robert Lahrman.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial, 3 p.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Gartland officiating. Interment at St. Boniface Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the Cerebral Palsy Association.
