Flora A. Graves

December 15, 1934 - January 19, 2023

Flora A. Wilson Orr Kitterman Graves, 88, of West Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at her home.  She was born December 15, 1934, in Lafayette, Indiana.  Flora graduated from Frontier High School and had worked for several dry cleaners in Lafayette and Florida.

Her marriage was to Earl J. Graves and he preceded her in death in 1987.  Flora enjoyed flowers, gardening, red birds, blue birds and hummingbirds.

Surviving are her children Marilyn (Robert) Thompson, Sandra (William-deceased) Hampton, James (Sherry) Kitterman, Sharon (James) Heckman, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  Flora was preceded in death by her adopted parents Elmer M.  and Goldie G. Orr, biological parents Lincoln C. Wilson and Gertrude K. (Robertson) Wilson Graves, siblings Barbara Kemp and Robert Wilson.

Very very sweet , loving, kind, generous soul. My grandma was just an all around awesome person. There are not enough words than I could ever express to describe the type of person that she was. I worked with Flo at Executive Dry cleaners…she was a hoot! Tough, intelligent, quite a smarty pants, and a hard worker. She taught me a lot…I literally was just thinking about her a couple days ago! My condolences to the family. She was spunky and will be missed ❤️
