Evelyn Phillips, 93 of West Lafayette In. died Monday at Westminster Village. Born June 5, 1921, in Minneapolis Minnesota to the late Jack and Lola Gruenberg. Evelyn graduated from North High School in Minneapolis in 1939. She worked in Washington DC during World War II, and in Los Angeles and Minneapolis in the years following the war. Her marriage was to Morris Phillips on October 30, 1949. The couple moved to Wahpeton N.D.where they were happily married for 55 years. Evelyn was a member of the League of Women Voters; she enjoyed traveling and her family. She was preceded in death by her brother Leonard, her husband and brothers-in-law Hymen and David. Surviving are her daughter Suzanne Gat(husband, Moshe) of Cupertino Ca.,son Dan ( wife Patti ) of West Lafayette, grandchildren Ben Phillips, Elizabeth Pugliese, and Eli Gat.
